Schloss Hohenburg

The grammar school St. Ursula – Schloss Hohenburg is located in the village of Lenggries, Southern Bavaria near Bad Tölz that is famous for its regional beauty shaped by the river Isar.  It is primarily a rural area surrounded by mountains and lakes. The Bavarian state capital Munich is just an hour´s drive from Lenggries. The school building is an old castle idyllically situated in a forest not far from the centre of Lenggries. The 380 all-female students attending our school primarily come from the rural region around.

Our grammar school is a state approved private school, run by the archdiocese of Munich and Freising and provides our students with a school leaving certificate which is necessary as a general university entrance qualification. But despite the denominational orientation of our school we offer tuition for Catholics, Protestants and Muslims alike. At the very moment our school does not offer any classes in ethics.
