The ” M. “Quadrio ” school in  Ponte in Valtellina joins with 6 other countries a European project. That means that our students will be very likely to establish meaningful contact with students from other countries that will most likely last longer than 2 years.

The school of the other countries lie in

• Lenggries in Southern Baviera (Germany),
• in Bicske (Hungary),
• Rudkobing (Denmark),
• the modern port city of Gdynia (Poland),
• the small village of Kropa, of only 883 inhabitants ( Slovenia), – – in the historical city of Braganca( Portugal).

 In Italy, the class IID at our school will be involved.

All these schools and so ours, too have organized the kick-off meeting on 28th September. We had it at 11.00 a.m. hanging the Comenius Notice Board with a map of Europe and coloured push pins indicating the different locations of the partner schools.

Local press and a local TV have been invited to dissiminate the project.

On the board, next to each country, we will add any stuff, such as pictures, that our partners will send us.

Not to forget is that at the very moment Europe faces a growing instability concerning the process of unification and the gap between the different European countries is constantly widening. If Europe is to survive, the young generation of its 27 member countries needs to develop a stronger sense of a common European identity and belongingness. That’s what really matters in our Comenius project.

DESCRIPTION OF THE ACTIVITIES:

• Creating the “Comenius Project” Website and thus providing the participating school with a communication platform.
• Planing and organising the Comenius Notice Board/ Pillar with a map of Europe and large coloured push pins/ map tacks indicating the different locations of the partner schools and showing pictures of all the teachers and students involved.

• PORTUGAL (FEBRUARY 2014) ON THE TOPIC “YOUTH PROBLEMS”;
• GERMANY (APRIL 2014) ON THE TOPIC “THEATRE FESTIVAL”;
• DENMARK (MAY 2014) ON THE TOPIC “FINAL REPORT”.
